We repurposed an old dresser (repainted, replace knobs) that we had that had been used by DH as a kid and that we ‘d been storing linens in. I ended up lining the drawers with simple Contact paper in white because that’s the best solution I could find at Target and I had an itch/urge to put everything away in the drawers THAT NIGHT (could this be nesting???).

I understand why someone might want to use drawer liners; it’s just not something I’ve ever done or would think about. I’ve never had antique furniture, and I never felt I needed to do it with the furniture we have.
2/21/2013 · DS’s dresser drawers are lined with cardboard covered with wrapping paper from his baby shower. He’d probably complain if he saw it now but we use it mainly for out of season or too big clothes right now. My dresser drawers are lined with fabric covered.

12/29/2007 · If you line a cabinet or not, just be sure to store all dishes with open side up. Don’t turn that glass over to put it away. Don’t dry your dishes, let them air dry. Don’t use a dish drainer. We do get sick from our dishes if we don’t clean and store them properly. I wouldn’t use anything in the cabinets that can store germs. With me, you win.
